The Food Alliance promotes integrated pest management which greatly reduces synthetic chemicals in fields. Some farms certified by them are Organic, some not.

Stahlbush Island Farms, located south of Corvallis, uses sustainable farming techniques, including some organic to produce a wide variety of foodstuffs. They have a great comparison between organic; sustainable as defined by the Food Alliance (see above link); and conventional farming techniques.
