The Geosciences Department offers minors of several types.
The Environmental Geosciences Minor is designed to provide an earth science dimension to the education of students interested in environmentally related fields of study. It combines the study of geology, geography, and management policy.
The Geology Minor adds a solid background in geology to majors from a wide variety of disciplines.
The Regional Studies Minor is designed for students wishing to add an international dimension to their studies. It is especially attractive to students aiming at careers in business and teaching.
The Resource Geography and Rural Planning Minor is designed for students with a rural resource planning and management perspective.
The undergraduate certificate in Geographic Information Science is designed for students seeking to develop computer-based technical and analytical skills in cartography, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
